Replacement of a Large Decking Area

We recently completed the replacement of a large decking area in an Edinburgh back garden, installing light oak decking boards and new matching railings to refresh the space and improve longevity.

The design retained the original generous footprint for seating and planter zones while the contemporary light oak tone lifts the garden, reflecting Edinburgh’s often-soft light and making the area feel more open.

New railings were fitted in a complementary finish to provide safety and protect the nearby trees without interrupting sightlines to the garden; robust fixings and stainless-steel fastenings were used to withstand the coastal-influenced weather.
