Beautiful Raised Decking

We recently completed a substantial raised decking platform for a client in the Scottish Borders, installed directly outside their back door to create a versatile outdoor living space.

The deck spans a generous area, providing ample room for dining and seating, and sits around one metre above the garden floor to deliver both a commanding view of the grounds and a comfortable transition from indoor to outdoor living.

Constructed with durable, weather-resistant materials suited to the Border climate, the platform is designed for longevity and low maintenance while retaining a clean, contemporary aesthetic that complements the property.

A timber balustrade runs the perimeter of the decking to ensure safety and to frame the space; its design balances robust support with unobtrusive lines so as not to obstruct the outlook.

Access to the garden is via three well-proportioned steps leading from the deck down to the lawn level, finished to the same standard as the platform for a cohesive appearance.

The whole installation was completed with careful attention to drainage and secure fixings, leaving the client with a practical, attractive extension to their home that’s ready for summer entertaining and everyday use.
